Foundation: 1. Turn the jar over, 2. Tap a small amount of foundation into the lid and open. 3. Swirl your brush in the foundation, and tap the excess back into the lid. 4. Apply it in short, feathery, strokes. If you need to conceal something, use a smaller brush and blend foundation onto that area.
Setting Powder: Use a large natural bristle brush and apply a quick thin layer over your face after you've applied eye make up, lipstick and blush.
Eye Shadow: Use an eye shadow brush to apply your eye shadow. Tap some colour into the lid, swirling your brush, tap off the excess. A little goes a long way! For a more dramatic, sexy night time transition, use an extra layer or use a darker color.
Eyeliner: Add a little water or skin freshener to the color in the lid, and mix. Use an eyeliner brush, and apply the eyeliner. Darker shades work best. You can smudge the eyeliner for a "smoky" look. *Be sure to wipe away excess liquid before closing the lid.
Blush/Bronzer: 1. Tap a little Mineral Blush into the lid of the cosmetic jar. 2 Tap the brush with your finger to get the extra blush off. Then use light, feathery strokes from the apple of your cheek back towards your the tops of your ears.
Know Your Undertones- It's easy. Hold up a white sheet of paper next to your face? Is your skin yellow or pink compared to the paper? If it's in between, your undertone is neutral.
Find Your Color- The best way to test for the right color is to do it on the jaw line in daylight. The color should disappear if it blends perfectly with the skin.
Apply in Thin Layers- Always apply minerals in thin layers, two is usually sufficient.
Do You Apply Moisturizers? Wait a few minutes until it has been completely absorbed - before you apply your mineral makeup. If your face is still shiny 5-10 after applying your moisturizer. The moisturizer may be too heavy for your skin to absorb.
For a heavier coverage - mix a small amount of powder into your favorite moisturizer, then apply as a liquid foundation. This is especially good for areas under the eyes and for concealing large pores.
Shine Control -The mineral rice powders help absorb oil, and reduce shine while greatly minimizing pores. Most people only use the mineral rice on their forehead, nose, and chin.
Cosmetic Procedure Aftercare- Mineral Makeup can be applied immediately after a light peel or micro- dermabrasion. It will not only cover the redness, but the Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxides are both a natural anti- inflammatory, which will help to calm the irritation.
You're Active- If you are perspiring heavily or swimming, don’t wipe your face with a towel or with your hand. Just pat your face dry with a towel.
Dry Skin- Spritz a little skin freshener on top. This will re-hydrate your skin and take away a dry or flaky look.
Do You Prefer Liquid Foundation? It's easy. Add a little water to the mineral foundation in the lid & mix well. Keep adding water or powder until you've reached your desired consistency. We recommend using a flocked/cosmetic sponge for better application of liquid foundation. If you have very dry skin, try mixing in a little moisturizer instead of water.
Start with a clean, moisturized face.
Be sure your moisturizer is absorbed before you apply mineral makeup.
This gives you a clean, clear slate to start from.
If you use a moisturizer, make sure it is completely absorbed into your skin or the mineral makeup may spread unevenly.
